Who I Work With

My clients are women who want to change something in their lives, or who are in the middle of, or just about to embark on, a life transition. These women work in professions such as business, real estate, law, technology, and human services, and hold positions of direct service providers, managers, directors, and presidents. They are performing well in their jobs and would describe themselves as competent and successful. They have come to coaching because they realize they need a little extra support, guidance, and courage as they navigate these uncharted waters.

Is This You?

You feel stuck. You know there must be more to life than what you are experiencing at this time, and you are not sure what is wrong or how to get your life back on track. You have some ideas niggling around the corners of your mind of things you might want to try, but part of you feels it would be irresponsible to make any life changes at this time. You are caught between what you think you "should" do and the possibilities of what you "could" do. You need an objective sounding board to help you come to some sort of decision, and you need some help overcoming the voices of doubt and fear that are keeping you stuck.

You are facing a career transition. Maybe you have outgrown your current job and want to find something more challenging and inspiring, or maybe you have been laid off and want to take this opportunity to look at the possibility of moving to a whole new career area. But you feel overwhelmed by the prospect of initiating a career change. One minute you are excited by all the possibilities that are available to you, and the next minute you are immobilized by immense fear and doubt. You need some extra support and motivation to navigate this transition.

You want to be more courageous in your life. Your life is going well but there are areas in which you find yourself pulling back instead of stepping out and taking risks. Maybe there is a class you didn't sign up for because you weren't sure you were talented enough. Maybe there was a special project at work that you didn't volunteer for because you weren't sure you were qualified enough. You feel an energy inside you that wants to burst through. You know you could be living your life from a place of greater boldness, yet something is holding you back.

You have always dreamed of owning your own business, of working with AIDS orphans in Africa, or of traveling the world. Finally, you now have the time and money to make your dream come true. However, the voices of fear and doubt are telling you that this might not be such a good idea. Some of your friends and family who you thought would be supportive are questioning the validity of your decision. You know in your heart that you want to do this and you know you will be successful, but you need some extra help and support to realize your dream.

You have recently received a promotion to a leadership position within your company. Although you are excited about this new opportunity, this new position comes with a lot more responsibilities and demands. You felt very confident in your old job and experienced a great deal of success. But you are now beginning to have doubts about your ability. You are starting to feel inadequate and you are having concerns about whether you really have what it will take to succeed. Your courage is waning and feelings of fear are taking over and getting in the way of you doing the job you know in your heart that you can do. You are in a space of uncertainty and need support and an extra shot of courage.

If any of these scenarios hit home with you, you have come to the right place. Catalyst for Courage Coaching can provide you with the courage, resources, support, and guidance needed to successfully achieve the changes you want to make in your life.

My Ideal Client

Clients who have the most success working with me:

• Are willing and able to fully commit to the coaching process
• Are willing to step out of their comfort zone and take risks
• Are willing to look at issues from different perspectives
• See themselves as resilient and don't get overwhelmed by obstacles
• Are able to enjoy success, but are not afraid of failure
Don't take life too seriously and love to laugh

I work with successful women who have a sense of what they are capable of doing in this life and who want to go for it. My clients are insightful, motivated, and fun-loving people who realize that being truly successful is more than just having money in the bank. It is also about feeling connected and giving back to the larger world.

They are willing to step out of their comfort zone, take some risks, and try new things. And they realize that they will be much more successful in achieving their goals if they can partner with someone who will encourage and support them, and hold them accountable along the way.
